A doula is as nurturing as a mother would be. - Michel Odent

You might already know that "doula" comes from the Greek word meaning "servant." As a profound act of trust, I am here to serve you during pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period.

Did you know that having a doula at your birth is proven to reduce labor duration, lower the risk of complications and interventions, decrease the need for C-sections and medical pain relief, and increase the chances of a positive birth experience?

For me, it's all about you and your family. My goal is to ensure that throughout pregnancy, birth, and the postpartum period, you receive the support you truly need. I bring expertise in supporting physiological birth, non-medical pain relief, breastfeeding, and postpartum care, offering physical, emotional, psychological, and informational support—whatever you need in each moment.

I believe in you, especially when labor feels endless and you begin to doubt your strength. As your doula, I'll make sure you're well-prepared, aware of your options, supported, respected, and taken care of so you feel safe and confident throughout the birth. Only then can labor progress as nature intended. I'll support you whether you choose to give birth at home or in the hospital, and I'm here for your partner too. They won't need to advocate for your rights; they can simply focus on supporting you. This journey to becoming a parent to a new child is momentous for them as well.

I believe in you in those dark early morning hours when you wonder if you're really ready for the journey called parenthood. After birth, your body goes through the biggest and fastest hormonal changes of your life, and it can be intense. Breastfeeding rarely clicks into place like a buttoned shirt, and we no longer have wise elders around to reassure us that marathon feeding sessions are normal and don't mean your milk supply is running out.

You don't have to entertain guests or worry about housework—that's why I'm here as your doula. I'll take care of you, look after your home, cook meals, play with older kids, or walk the dog. When you feel well, your baby thrives too.

As a doula, I am committed to following the role and guidelines for birth doulas as defined by the Finnish Doula Association (Suomen Doulat ry).
